IT was early in the morning and the Woodlands resident could not believe her eyes.
A naked man stood near the window of the flat opposite her HDB block.
The woman, who wanted to be known only as Ms Ong, told The New Paper: 'Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something that looked like the colour of flesh moving. 'When I looked again, I saw a man standing completely naked in the bedroom.'

Though disgusted, Ms Ong, 26, thought the man might have forgotten to draw the curtains. But the next day, the administrative assistant saw him nude again. And almost every morning for about three weeks, she was subjected to the same obscene sight. With each passing day, the man also grew bolder as he engaged in more lewd acts.

Last week, Ms Ong decided she had had enough and called the police. The man, in his 30s, was arrested, early yesterday morning after he was caught in the act - again. Ms Ong has been living in her five-room flat for more than two years. She has two housemates. She wakes up at 6am every morning. Before she leaves for work at 7.15am, she would stand near the window of her living room to put on her perfume.

One morning in the middle of last month, she looked out of the window and saw the naked man in his bedroom. His windows were open and the curtains were not drawn. From her 11th-storey flat, she could see both the flat's master bedroom and a smaller bedroom if the curtains were not drawn. The man was standing in the smaller bedroom. His flat was on the ninth storey of the opposite block. Ms Ong said she had never seen the man before. 'He looked like he was in his 20s, about 1.7m and fair. He was moving around the room as if he was getting ready for work. 'I didn't think he knew that I saw him.' Ms Ong said she could see only an electric fan in the room. She thought the man did not mean to be seen. But the next day, she saw him nude again.
'At first I thought he had forgotten to draw the curtains,' she said. 'But then he did it almost every day.'
Ms Ong said she usually sees the man between 6.45am and 7.15am. 'The most clothes I've seen him put on is a G-string!'

She leaves for work by the time the man gets dressed, she said. She said her housemates had not seen the man naked as they were still in bed at that time. But when Ms Ong came home in the evening, the man would be fully clothed in the same bedroom.

She claimed he eventually found that she could see him and started engaging in more obscene acts.
'Last week, he started to masturbate. I got the feeling he was doing it intentionally. He'd look out of the window to see if anyone was looking in his direction. 'I was shocked. How could someone do that? He's a pervert.' That was the last straw. Early last week, she called the police.
