They held hands, kissed and...
He's 33, married and a head of department
She's 14 and a student at his school

IT was an honest Internet chat with her young cousin about school re-opening.
But little did she know it would lead to her finding out that the cousin had an older boyfriend.
And that he was a teacher in her school - a married man with a pregnant wife. And more: That they had been seeing each other for seven months, that they had held hands and kissed and she had allowed him to touch her breasts and private parts. It led to a confrontation with the man and his principal. The teacher's career may now be in jeaopardy.

The student, Mary (left), is 14 and a Sec 2 student. As she is a minor, we are avoiding any factor that may lead to her being identified.

Mary was at her mother's office on 2 Jan, chatting with her cousin Jane, 25, on the office computer.
School was due to begin the next day and Mary was excited about the new year ahead. But as they chatted, Mary let slip something that got Jane, a customer relations officer, worried.

She typed: 'Mii (me) and him 7 months, 1 day.' She had a boyfriend.

Jane, who has a 13-year-old sister and an older brother, Tom, 27, said: 'I had heard from my sister that she had a boyfriend but nobody knew who he was. I was concerned about her having a boyfriend as she is so young. 'I was worried she might be having sex with him as she is so naive.'

The longer the online chat went on, the more worried Jane got. She thought the boyfriend was a classmate or someone in Sec 3 or 4. But she was to get a nasty surprise. With Mary unwilling to divulge more information about the person, Jane became more curious and promised not to tell anyone if Mary told her how old he was.

'He older than mi quite alot,' typed Mary. 'About 30,' was the next shocking revelation.

When Mary typed, 'But I love him,' Jane knew she had to act fast.
She called her husband, a police officer, for advice, and he told her to get Mary to reveal more about the man.

Returning to the computer, Jane probed further and Mary finally replied, 'He's a teacher.'
The 33-year-old man was a head of department but did not teach her.
Jane got even more worried when Mary asked her what the consequences would be if she had sex with him. Although Mary said they had never done it, Jane wasn't so sure. She then told her older brother Tom, an executive, and they decided to go to Mary's school on 4 Jan to confront the man. They reported the matter to the principal who said she would investigate. The principal called the teacher to the office.
After having a word with him outside her office, they went in and met Tom and Jane.

Mary's mum said her daughter had done well in school last year and she came to know about the relationship only when Mary's cousins told her about it. Said her mother: 'She (Mary) said the teacher does not teach her. I thought they just got along well. And I did not know she had a boyfriend. 'She did mention him a lot and I thought he was just concerned about her. I have always trusted her as she is very well behaved and obedient. I never knew a teacher could behave this way.'

Later that day, Mary told her cousins and her mother that she had let her teacher touch her breasts and private parts.

Mary knew he was married but told him she liked him anyway.
She said: 'I liked his character. He is very helpful and helped me when I had difficulties in maths.
'At first, we did not expect to start a relationship. Then, he asked me out for a movie a day before my birthday.
'A few days after my birthday, he told me he loved me. He messaged me on my handphone that he loved me.'
She has been to his flat twice but they didn't have sex.
'He made me happy and he made me feel important,' she added.

Would u say it is totally the teacher's fault ?
Look on this case in broader aspect...I wouldnt blame the teacher nor mary but I blame both party!!!

lets talk abt Mary:
do u agree she is really naive on this love?
do u think she the love with her teacher is real?
y does she allow the teacher to touch her?
& should be partly blamed for her actions too?

abt the teacher:
is he responsible for his actions?
is he faithful to his wife & unborn child?
is his love true to Mary or have other ulterior motive behind his back?
should he be the sole blame...?

I agree mary is naive abt love, she thought this man could give her all the stablility like all gers wanted in their whole life with their prince charming...the love she had with her teacher is real but the love the teacher had on her was an act....she allow the teacher to touch purely becos she loved him...& allow him to gain control in her...giving a open temptations to the teacher...she should be blamed cos she knows the teacher is married & have a pregnant wife...but y still continue?

As for the teacher...he should blamed too cos he is not responsible as a teacher as a husband ...fail to keep wedding vows promisses....his love to mary might not be true...cos frm my point of view as a predator to have free meal he is dulging mary feelings making her fall into his trap...with honey talks & actions! but he is not totally at fault cos which man on earth can turn down a woman temptations. If a ger strip infront of boys ...would boys turn ard their faces? I believe they wont! even we do turn back...the temptations in heart will make u turn back...

Well what is love? is this love? 1 party scarifice for true love but is the other party really in love with u? feel free to comment...at tag board or comment box! hope to hear frm u all soon!
